Streetfood in Penang, Malaysia, Penang Road

I was walking around Komtar and heading towards Penang Road and sure enough visited the famous Teochew Chendul store.

Originally a humble hawker selling Chendul on the corner of a small road.

The business became very successful and they have branches and franchises all over Malaysia. Their website tells the story better. 

 They even have a restaurant shop for customers to dine in.
